TRAILS OF [2015]
Tasked with creating a work that would only be performed and seen once, Karesia Batan and I opted instead to examine behaviors and habits that were common and persistent to our shared experience. We worked to expose an interplay of narrative between two individuals who start out focused on writing their own stories. Boundaries were unable to remain fixed, and one chapter lead to/from the next.

In real time, emotional environments are created for one another to experience paths of change. Human habit is traded for raw presence, to be affected here and now.
Presented as part of the Never Before, Never Again Festival 1. February 2015 at Triskelion Arts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Paradox Vested Relics used an overlay of performance and tech rehearsal footage to create a quartet from the duet of the work, exposing a sense of trace within habitual movement.
